About Taylor Raye

Taylor Raye Curry is a writer, producer and director known for her experimental short El Roi and her episodic piece The Investment, nominated for a Best Web Series Jury Award at the 2021 American Black Film Festival (ABFF). A Phi Beta Kappa scholar and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Spelman College, Taylor got her start as a documentary filmmaker learning from Ayoka Chenzira in the Digital Moving Image Salon at Spelman. An MFA graduate of UCLA, Taylor now teaches courses in documentary filmmaking, narrative filmmaking, episodic content, writing feature films, and the practical technologies of motion and sound as an Assistant Professor of Film at The University of Tampa.
